Yes, I am now a mommy of 2 boys!
I have been under the radar for the past two months or so because I was getting ready to welcome my little man to the world…
Meet baby Usenathi (which means “God is still with us”)
My little man arrived on the 21st of November, so he is officially 1 month old and getting bigger each day. We are enjoying him and I must say it’s much easier the second time around. His big brother, Sivu, is excited to have a little brother
During my pregnancy I mostly kept my hair loose, maintenance was very low (mainly due to being so tired) but it still grew… A LOT! I think it had to do with all those prenatal vitamins I was taking. I also noticed that it was a lot thicker. I kept my hair plaited towards the end of my pregnancy because I didn’t want to hassle too much with my hair while I had a newborn to take care of. I normally keep my plaited hairstyles for about 2 weeks but this time around I left my hair plaited for about a month and after I undid my hair, I noticed I have significant growth – yay! My hair is plaited again (2 weeks after I had my baby). I hardly plait this much but it’s so much easier to take care of it like this. All I do is apply coconut oil to it each morning or the Nubian Nature’s hair elixir – I love that stuff!
Next year February, it will be 2 years since I started my locs, so I plan to do a full update then on how much my locs have grown.
